You can set the control s Accept property to limit the type of files that can be posted to the server. This property is a comma-delimited list of valid MIME types for example, image/ * for accepting all image types or application/octet-stream to accept .exe files. All the Web Forms controls are located on the Web Forms tab of the Visual Studio Toolbox and belong to the System.Web.UI.WebControls namespace. Unlike HTML Server controls, Web Forms controls expose a consistent set of properties, whose names don t necessarily reflect the name of the HTML attribute to which they map. For example, all the Web Forms controls expose a Text property that determines the string displayed in the control. Even HTML controls that don t display a cap tion for example, check boxes and radio buttons expose the Text property (which in this case is opportunely translated into plain text adjacent to the control). Another example: all controls expose the BorderStyle and BorderColor properties for controlling the border drawn around the control. If the control doesn t have a native border, it s embedded in a <span> tag with an appropriate style attribute.
